COVID-19 UPDATE MEMBERS 29/05/2020

With easing of restrictions in relation to COVID-19, competition golf has recommenced at Huon Valley Golf Club.

What this means for members and visitors:

Saturday Competitions until further notice

  1. Bookings should be made in OurGolf online at https://booking.ourgolf.com.au/.
  2. Groups of four are now permitted with an 8-minute separation.
  3. Social distancing still applies as do personal hygiene measures.
  4. Registration is via the computer screen as per normal, please ensure you sterilise your hands PRIOR to use of the touch screen.
  5. Score entry is also via the computer screen; again please ensure you sterilise your hands PRIOR to use of the touch screen. It is recommended that only one person per group should enter the group scores with a second person calling them out at a 1.5m social distance.
  6. Please leave the Club immediately following your game.
  7. Results will be emailed to members each week.
  8. There will be no presentation of prizes. Prizes will be issued as the opportunity presents itself or upon resumption of the clubhouse and bar operations.
  9. Swapping of score cards should not occur, simply mark your own scores and that of your playing partner then verbally verify at the end of the round that the scores are correct.
  10. Handling of and removal of flag sticks is NOT PERMITTED, devices have been installed in the golf cup to assist with the ball being easily removed while flags remain in the hole.
  11. Bunker rakes have been removed; preferred lies are permitted in bunkers until further notice. This is in line with advice from Golf Australia.
  12. Sand buckets have been removed, please replace divots after knocking in edges of divot cast. If you have your own sand bucket, please top with sand after divot is repaired.
  13. Motorised carts are as per Management Manual use, and a limit of one person per cart.
  14. Nearest the Pin competitions are not being held as shared use of measuring tapes is not permitted at this time. Normal NTP prize allocation will be included into daily competition prizes.
  15. The Birdie Ball competition is being run; please enter your name on the sheet IF you score a nett birdie on the nominated hole. DO NOT write your name down unless you have scored a nett birdie. Use own pen or ensure you sterilise your hands PRIOR to handling a shared pen.
