Conditions of Play

  1. Play will be governed by the ‘Rules of Golf’ and will apply together with the Local Rules of the Huon Valley Golf Club.
  2. The Bill Wellington Memorial Huon Valley Men’s Open is a Toogood Trophy Event.
  3. The decision of the Tournament Committee is final in all matters relating to the Tournament. Protests must be made to the Committee no later than five minutes after the conclusion of the day’s play.
  4. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse an entry, and to change the conditions of the event. Forced changes due to weather – every attempt will be made to maximize the number of holes played.
  5. Handicap divisions are indicative only and may be adjusted at the close of entries.
  6. All competitors must have an Australian handicap and be affiliated with a physical golf club. Please provide your GolfLink number on your entry form.
  7. All competitors are permitted entry to the Club to practise on Friday 17 January.
  8. Entries close on 9 January 2025, earlier if maximum numbers (128) are achieved. Final entries are at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.
  9. If a competitor fails to report for any round without a satisfactory reason to the Tournament Committee, future entry for the event may be refused.

  12. In the event of a tie:
    Gross events will be decided by a three-hole aggregate playoff; if scores are still tied then play is to continue on a hole by hole basis.
    Nett events will be decided on a countback.
  13. Motorised golf carts only permitted with a medical certificate accompany entry
