The Huonville Community Bank Huon Valley Open Tournament and Valley Cup was once again a great success this year with players coming from many parts of the state including a large contingent of regulars from Smithton and also Interstate players. With a huge field of over 150 players the weather was not so kind on Saturday and Sunday however the game was played in good sportsmanship regardless of conditions. The course was in magnificent condition as usual thanks to the ground staff and volunteers. The President Tim Rumney congratulated the co-ordinator Bill Wellington and the many volunteers for their assistance over the four day event.
The Huonville Community Bank representatives were present on the day to help present trophies and the Huon Valley Golf Club would like to sincerely thank them along with many other sponsors for their continuing support of this major event.
